Linking Hose for Rain Barrels

We offer a variety of linking hose lengths for rain barrels with a 5/8" outlet or overflow valve (this is the standard diameter of most rain barrels and garden hoses). The hoses come from 1 foot to 10 foot lengths (plus approximately 2 inches for the attachments). With these hoses, you can tie just about any group of rain barrels together.
Simply connect the barrels together with each barrel slightly lower than the one before it. As each barrel fills up, the next one in the series will start to fill up until all of the barrels are full. Gravity does all of the pumping!
If you only have one source of water, connecting multiple barrels together can simplify installation and reduce the number of components you need to buy. As long as you have one downspout, there's no need to do any other modifications to your gutters or roof.
Please note, it is generally best to use rainbarrels with overflow valves when building a system like this. If you connect overflow valves to inlets, then the barrel closest to your downspout will fill first, and there wont be any water loss until all the barrels are filled.
